No more holding myself back!

Health

The big issue I have is my weight. I am severely overweight, and this is a big problem for the life I am trying to build with my husband. We just bought a plot of land and plan to farm it, but I am overweight and out of shape. I also want to go on adventures with him, but I don’t even qualify for a lot of the things I want to do because I exceed the weight limit. And we have dogs who want to run and play, but I get tired and winded. Everything in my life suffers and everyone gets let down because of how my weight limits me. But 13 months is enough time to lose all of it. I just have to stick to the plan and be consistent.

But 13 months is a long time, and I am sure I can get a few things accomplished in this period. we are going to use the life wheel and see all the places that need revolutionary change.

Weight loss comes under health. I need to lose weight and improve my stamina and strength.

Surroundings

Me environment is the next big issue I need to deal with. I need to finish the renovations in my home. I don’t even have a kitchen right now. Literally, the room is completely gutted. We’re using paper plates, and living off a slow cooker, which isn’t a bad way to go all in all, but I am being held back without a kitchen. And then when we consider all the planting we are doing on the farm and garden, I need a kitchen to process the crops we can’t eat fresh. I need a kitchen! Other renovations that have to happen this year include renovating the dining room and safari room.

And of course, we are doing the gardens this year. That’s an every year occurence, so it doesn’t quite lend itself to the 13-month transformation. However, I would like to do a fence around the gardens, so perhaps that could be part of this year’s goals.

Money

Like a lot of people, we underestimate the costs that would go with our new house. The renovations added up quickly, and we still have some major ones to go! As a result, we have ended up in some major consumer debt. We have currently made a plan and will be consumer debt free in 3 years, but that really relies on Ken’s salary alone. I took a position to help us afford the renovations, but I bet with some dedication and hard work we could make enough to get out of debt and build an emergency fund too in these thirteen months.

Career

I desperately want to change my career. I want something that is more independent, more solitary. Working in a school, there are many coworkers, students, and parents. So many people. So besides changing careers, we also want to cultivate our farm so we get an income from it too, but that takes investment. So far these thirteen months, I am investing in the land, to build up our farm, investing in my health, so I can work very hard on my farm, and I will invest in job training so I can change career and start my business.

Personal Development

As an extension of career, I need to cultivate my reading and writing habits so I have amassed extensive knowledge, skill and content to use in my business.

I’m sure I need to work on every sector of the circle, but one can only do so much at one time, So I am only going to focus on these, knowing full well that it’s plenty.
